Please review the PM 2 December Testing Calendar. This year, we will implement new procedures and protocols for arrival, pre-testing, and testing to ensure a smooth and secure experience.
MAKE-UPS ARE LIMITED. PLEASE BE PRESENT AND GIVE THE BEST EFFORT ON YOUR ASSIGNED TESTING DAY.
Arrival Procedures
- Report to 1st Period for attendance check.
- Leave backpacks in 1st Period classrooms, including all electronic devices. Backpacks will be stored in a secure area.
- Students who are testing will be released to the middle school gym at 7:15 AM.
Pre-Testing Preparation
- The grade-level administrator will lead the session.
- Students will check in with proctors and receive their seat number and the location of their testing room.
- Sit on the bleachers by the assigned room section (signs will be posted).
- The administrator will lead a quick “data dump” activity using Rally Coach.
- Key reminders for students:
- Use every minute—minimum time is required, but you have the full day if needed.
- Do your best to show what you know.
- Use reference sheets, CBT worksheets, glossaries, strategies, accommodations, and calculators.
- Raise your hand before submitting; an adult will check on you.
- Double-check that electronic devices are stored and not in testing rooms.
- Students will be released by room and escorted to testing locations by proctors.
During Testing
- Find your assigned seat number.
- Your folder will include CBT worksheets, reference sheets, a computer, a pencil, and a calculator.
- The administrator or assessment coordinator will review key reminders:
- Use every minute—minimum time required: FAST ELA (90 min), FAST Math (100 min), EOC (80 min).
- Do your best to show what you know.
- Use all provided resources and strategies.
- Raise your hand before submitting for assistance.
- Check again that there are NO electronic devices.
- The administrator will read the official assessment script.
- Students are encouraged to complete a “data dump” on CBT worksheet before starting.
- The testing session will begin.
- Proctors and administrators will actively monitor the students’ testing.
- Students have the full day to test if needed.
- The administrator will release students when testing is complete.
After Testing
- Return to 1st Period to pick up backpacks.
- Report to your next scheduled class or lunch (if applicable).
- Students needing extended time will be escorted to the media center.
- Student attendance will be adjusted in myStudent based on the periods that the student tests.
